2026 Native Plant Giveaway and Swap

Saturday, April 25th at Lincoln Elementary School

Join the Lincoln Neighborhood Association for a spring celebration as we gather to meet with neighbors and talk about native plants and their many benefits to our neighborhood. We'll be giving away over 160 native plants AND for the first time this year, including a neighborhood plant swap. The giveaway begins at 2:45. Arrive earlier to participate in the swap.

Schedule

1:00 - 2:00 if you have plants, drop them off for the swap

2:00 - 2:45 swap plants, enjoy snacks, peruse educational materials, and chat with neighbors

2:45 - 3:00 native plant giveaway including 10 different species, we'll give them out until they're gone

Available Native Plant Species

• Common yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

• Bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa)

• Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum)

• Roemer's fescue (Festuca roemerii)

• Broadleaf stonecrop (Sedum spathulifolium)

• Henderson's checkermallow (Sidalcea hendersonii)

• Douglas's Aster (Symphyotrichum subspicatus)

• Mock orange (Philadelphus lewisii)

• Golden currant (Ribes aureum)

• Common snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus)

Plant Swap Guidelines

• Bring potted plants to share with your neighbors if able

• Anyone can participate in the swap, even without bringing plants

• You must clearly label each of your plants. Include the latin name if possible.

• Bring clearly labeled snacks to share if able

• Please return home with any of your plants that are not claimed

• Due to aggressive behavior, some non-native plants are prohibited:

  • All silver, gold and platinum weeds according to the Backyard Habitat Certification Program’s certification criteria, including, but not limited to:

    • Butterfly bush

    • European laurel

    • Fennel

    • Morning glory

    • Pampas grass

    • Norway maple

    • Vinca
